Rules and Dress Code

REGISTRATION  A completed and signed registration form is required of all students on file in PBA Office.

TUITIONAll tuition is payable in advance. Checks may be written to Piedmont Ballet Academy or PBA.  Please write the student’s name in the memo section of the check.  Tuition may be paid in two installments (due dates on current schedule).  There is a $10.00 fee for late payments.

REFUNDS – Tuition is fully refundable minus a $15.00 processing fee before the first class.  After the 2nd class tuition is non-refundable without a doctor’s verification.  Adult class cards are absolutely non-refundable and non-transferable.

BEHAVIOR Students are expected to be courteous to other students as well as staff at PBA.  We are in a building with other businesses and we must maintain quiet and be respectful to our neighbors.  PBA reserves the right to dismiss any students whose conduct is found to be unsatisfactory.  There will be no refund for students dismissed due to behavior.  Parents will receive an initial telephone call  regarding the problem followed by a warning letter prior to final dismissal.

STUDENT PLACEMENT – New and current students will be placed in the class that is most appropriate for their age and ability. 

FOOD & DRINK– Absolutely no food or drink will be allowed in PBA.  There is a spring water cooler at PBA for students.

 

DRESS CODE – ALL LEVELS

Pink ballet tights, pink ballet slippers, or pink pointe shoes

Child’s pink ballet wrap sweater – optional

Hair must be in bun with exception of Preschooler & Preballet

PRESCHOOLERS, PREBALLET

Pink leotard any style

Pink pull on short skirt – optional.

CHILDREN’S IA and I 

Lavender leotard – any style

Lavender pull on short skirt – optional.

CHILDREN’S II

Light blue leotard any style

Light blue pull on short skirt – optional

CHILDRENS III

Burgundy leotard any style

Burgundy or black short skirt or black ballet shorts – optional

INTERMEDIATE  

Black leotard any style

Black skirt or black ballet shorts – optional

ADVANCED – Appropriate dance wear, no color code.

ADULT CLASSES – No specific dress code.  However appropriate dance wear and ballet shoes are required.
